Summer Sky Sluggers Qualify for the City of Stephenville Softball Playoffs

This year Summer Sky fielded a company softball team that competed in the City of Stephenville Softball League.  After finishing the season with a 4-2 record, the Slugging Soldiers qualified for the city-wide playoffs.  The Summer Sky Sluggers first played the Knuckleheads in a rematch from a thrilling early season battle that saw the Sluggers win in the last inning with dynamic defense.  This rematch would prove to be equally as thrilling!  Falling behind early, the SSS used masterful base running and clutch hitting to take the lead.  The SSS were able to mow down the Knuckleheads with great defense and a clutch catch by third baseman and Clinical Director David Houke.

Summer Sky qualified for the City Semi-finals where they faced off against the Chix and Stix.  This game saw the Chix and Stix open up a big lead but the SSS made them earn every run.  Summer Sky rallied back in the last inning but fell short due to time restrictions.

The Sluggers thank everyone at Summer Sky and their families for their support and encouragement.  We will continue to be the leaders in the battle against chemical addiction in the state of Texas as we offer the best drug and alcohol rehab.

We'll get 'em next year!
